Appeal Building Official’s Decision to Not Consent to a License Reinstatement David Brian Roberts, license #ET11000592, d/b/a David B RobertsMrs. Royals provided a brief history of Mr. Robert’s Electrical Specialty license. His Santa Rosa County competency card expired in the fall of 2003 due to failure to make a payment. As the ordinance allows, he submitted a request to the Building Official for a review and reinstatement of his competency card. The ordinance states that if you renew after one year of expiration, you are required to retake the exam or provide proof to the Building Official, of active contracting. Mr. Tolbert determined that Mr. Roberts didn’t provide proof of active contracting (permits would be allowed as proof) and therefore denied his request for reinstatement.
Mr. Roberts was present. A discussion ensued between the Board and Mr. Roberts. After a discussion and the review of documentation amongst the Board a motion was made.
Mr. Turner made a motion to deny Mr. Robert’s appeal. Mr Salter seconded the motion. The motion carried with a unanimous vote.
