Search Adoptable Pets
At Santa Rosa County Animal Services, we want you to always make adoption your first option! Whether it's from our shelter or another rescue, choosing adoption is one of the most important differences you can make in the life of a homeless pet.
Appointment Required
Appointments are required for all visits to the shelter including adoptions. Please make an appointment online or call 850-983-4680.
Adoption Fees
We work hard to maintain low-cost adoption fees at $25 for a dog and $10 for a cat. We also have various adoption specials throughout the year, be sure follow us on Facebook to get the latest updates!
Adoptions include spay or neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, initial dewormer and microchip.

Adoption Process
Our adoption process is simple; after you meet a pet you would like to adopt, our shelter staff will meet with you to provide all the information we have about them, discuss your needs and expectations for your new pet, and provide information to help your new fur-iend make an easy transition.
We believe in having conversations and getting to know adopters instead of having stringent adoption criteria. Subjective criteria prevents good people from adopting animals and makes assumptions about the kind of person the adopter is. We believe in barrier free adoptions to help families find the best match.
