Volunteer Program

Thank you for considering SRCAS Volunteer Program! Do you love animals and have some time on your hands? Come save lives with us!

For safety reasons, we only allow those above the age of 18 to volunteer in the facility. However, if you are a student receiving service hours for Bright Futures, we allow those above the age of 16 to volunteer with us in the building. If you are under 16 and are still wanting to help out, email the Volunteer Coordinator at the email below and ask how to become an "At-Home Volunteer"!

For more information, call our Volunteer Coordinator at 850-981-8876 or email at ASVolunteer@santarosa.fl.gov

Please follow these instructions to get started:

  1. Sign up for a Tour of our facility & find an area of the shelter you can help us with
  2. Bring your driver's license & SSC to your Tour date for a background check.*
  3. If you feel that our program is right for you, you'll be asked to fill out an Application and schedule an Orientation date!
  4. Join our "SRCAS Volunteers" Facebook Group to keep updated on announcements & new tasks

*Please review the notice to users of consumer reports here for your background check as part of the volunteer application process.
