November Events at Your Santa Rosa County Library

Holiday Closures
All Santa Rosa County Libraries will be closed Thurs. Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day, and Thurs.-Sat., Nov. 25-27 in observance of Thanksgiving.
 
Fall Into Thanksgiving – All Libraries
Families are invited to drop by the library and pick up a thankfulness craft that the family can enjoy together. Fall Into Thanksgiving will take place during regular business hours throughout the month of November, while craft kits last.
 
Interactive Games Month – Milton Library – 5541 Alabama St.
In conjunction with International Games Week, the Milton Library will host interactive games for all ages. Correctly solve a mystery to be entered to win a prize pack. Interactive Games Month will take place during regular business hours throughout the month of November. Speak with a staff member for more information.
 
Preschool Storytime and Toddler Time
The fall sessions of Preschool Storytime and Toddler Time are going virtual. New videos will be posted each Monday on the library system’s Storytime and Toddler Time pages through Nov. 29, and will be available for viewing through Dec. 30.
 
Book Chat – Pace Library – ZOOM
Nov. 3, 4 p.m.
One of the next best things to reading a good book is chatting about it. Join the conversation via Zoom on the first Wednesday of every month at 4 p.m. Registration is required.
 
The Illustriates Graphic Novel Book Club – Navarre Library - 8484 James M. Harvell Rd.
Nov. 3, 4 p.m.
Teens and tweens can join fellow reading enthusiasts on the first Wednesday each month to discuss the book of the month. We will read a variety of genres including novels and graphic novels. Space is limited; registration is required.
 
Friends of the Gulf Breeze Library Book Sale – 1060 Shoreline Dr.
Nov. 5, 4 – 7 p.m. & Nov. 6, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
The FOGBL will host a book sale on Fri., Nov. 5 from 4 - 7 p.m., and Sat., Nov. 6 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Shop for bargain books of all types and subjects, for all ages. Visit the Friends’ website https://www.friendsofthegulfbreezelibrary.org/ for more information.
 
The Club for Not Nearly Nice Books – Jay Library –ZOOM
Nov. 8, 4 – 5 p.m.
The Club for Not Nearly Nice Books (CN3B) is a book club for adults who enjoy horror, fantasy, and science fiction. The CN3B meets the 2nd Monday of every other month beginning in March via ZOOM. Registration is required. Speak with a staff member to sign up.
 
The Inklings– Milton Library - 5541 Alabama St. & ZOOM*
Nov. 9, 4 p.m.
Sixth through 10th graders are invited to read either the novel or graphic novel version of the book of the month and meet to share their ideas about it. The Inklings meets the second Tuesday of the month at 4 p.m. at the Milton Library or via ZOOM. Registration is required.
 
Coffee Talk - Gulf Breeze Library - 1060 Shoreline Dr. & ZOOM
Nov. 12, 12 p.m.
Coffee Talk, a non-fiction book club, meets at noon on the second Friday of every other month beginning in January for a brown bag lunch and book discussion. Enjoy the lively discussions and friendly atmosphere. Space is limited; registration is required for this hybrid book club. Join via Zoom or in person, depending on comfort level.
 
STEAM Makerspace – Gulf Breeze Library - 1060 Shoreline Dr.
Nov. 12 & 19, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Are you into drafting, robotics, Arduino, knitting, painting or any kind of hobby and would like a place to meet with others? The library meeting room will be available at this time for you to do so. Sign up is required; see staff at front desk.
 
Friends of the Navarre Library Book Sale – 8484 James M. Harvell Rd.
Nov. 13, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
The FONL will host a book sale on Sat., Oct. 9 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Shop for bargain books of all types and subjects, for all ages. Visit the Friends’ website at www.facebook.com/NFONL for more information.
 
AniManga Club – Gulf Breeze Library – ZOOM*
Nov. 18, 4:30 p.m.
Join via ZOOM on the third Thursday of each month to learn and share graphic art skills in a fun environment. The AniManga Club is dedicated to the enjoyment and promotion of animation, cartooning, and related arts.  The club is open to youth ages 11 – 17, and registration is required.
 
Reading Fanatics Book Club - Navarre Library - 8484 James M. Harvell Rd. 
Nov. 20, 1 p.m.
Book club meetings are held on the third Saturday of the month at 1 p.m. at the Navarre Library. Come tell us what you’d like to read – fiction and non-fiction titles are welcome.
 
 
*A signed parental consent form must be turned in to the library for any child under the age of 18 to participate in a virtual club via ZOOM.
