[ARCHIVED] Mulat Road closed for railroad repair Tue., Feb. 1 and Wed., Feb. 2

Mulat Road, west of Montecito Boulevard, will be closed on Tue., Feb. 1, and Wed., Feb. 2, while Florida Gulf and Atlantic Railroad, LLC works to rebuild two crossings. The road closure will impact Bernath Place and Bayside subdivisions as well as residents west of the double spur on Mulat Road.

Florida Gulf and Atlantic Railroad, LLC will accommodate residential access, when possible, during the project but asks that outside vendors or non-residential traffic be rescheduled for after the project is complete. One lane will be open to traffic for two-hour windows during peak traffic times, the full road closure schedule for both days is outlined below:
  • 3 -7a.m. The road will be closed, with emergency access only.
  • 7- 9 a.m. One lane will be open to traffic, expect delays.
  • 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. The road will be closed, with emergency access only.
  • 3 – 5 p.m. One lane will be open to traffic, expect delays.
  • 5 p.m. The road will be closed, with emergency access, expect lengthy delays.
