Important information for using MGO:
- All permit applications related to approved residential master plans, solar, re-roofs, doors, windows, and hurricane debris protection must now apply via MyGovernmentOnline (MGO) and upload the required documents and/or plans as prompted in the system.
- The 2 p.m. cut-off remains in effect for Inspection requests related to projects permitted in GoPermits. Inspection requests for projects permitted in MGO will now have a 4 p.m. cut-off time. Permits issued through MGO will begin requesting related inspections via www.mygovernmentonline.org or by calling toll-free to 866-957-3764. MGO permits start with a permit type prefix i.e. BP-2022-1234.
- Concurrent building and zoning reviews are now available for residential projects. Customers may now submit all documents as part of the building permit application in MGO.
- In order for permits to be issued in the new program, all contractors must register in the new program to expedite obtaining permits. For those that already have an existing MGO account with another jurisdiction, please utilize the same account and register with Santa Rosa County. Contractors will no longer be able to obtain permits prior to completing this registration process. For assistance with establishing accounts, please contact the MyGovernmentOnline Help Desk toll-free at 866-957-3764.
Due to volume, staff is unable to perform status checks in a timely manner at this time and asks customers to be sure they have notifications set up in MyGovernmentOnline (MGO). Staff is working to provide customers with an improved permitting process. Customers are asked to continue to monitor for updates.
