March is National Peanut Month, UF/IFAS Santa Rosa County Extension is celebrating this popular locally-grown crop by hosting ‘The Peanutty Way’ event. The free event will be held from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Tue., Mar. 28 at the Santa Rosa County Administration Building, 6495 Caroline St. in Milton.
Community members are invited to stop by and savor grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, peanut candies and competitions. The Florida Peanut Producers Association and Santa Rosa Farm Bureau Federation will share peanut facts and stories with attendees who want to learn more about this commodity that brings in almost $18,000,000 to the local economy.
