Put a lid on it and get fitted for a free bike helmet!

Is Santa bringing a bike to someone in your family this year? Put a lid on it and protect them before they pedal!

The Santa Rosa County Department of Emergency Management, located at 4499 Pine Forest Road in Milton, will offer free bike helmets on Mon., Dec. 17 and Tues., Dec. 18 from 3 to 6 p.m. and Thurs., Dec. 20 from 1 to 4 p.m. for adults and children. You must be fitted in person to receive a helmet. 

Wearing a bike helmet reduces the odds of head injury by 50% and head/face/neck injury by 33% according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety/Highway Loss Data Institute.
